This post contains post Frank Ocean no show depression. Be warned!

You know how I did that smug post about things calming down now the financial year had ended? I was wrong. Performance reviews are a punish, especially with a team you have just taken over and who could easily be feeding you a pack of BS. Maaaaybe now I can breathe.

Mr C and I both had a free weekend this weekend and we mooched around and generally did nothing. Awesome. Lots of eating, no exercise and some super Sydney winter weather. Tops.

Mr C and I had an organic, gluten free lunch on Sunday at The Forresters. KIDDING! We gorged on burgers and shnitzel. Not seen are the several beers. BUT in my defence this was at the end of a massive walk around Surry Hills and Darlo. Spent mostly reminiscing of good, debauched times around those haunts, and getting old. Lucky we're still awesome.

I whipped out my suede Tods. They are so comfy and such awesome quality, I have had these for ages and will last forever. Memories of London rush back whenever I put them on my feet, and of me trying on basically every colour in the Knightsbridge store.
Lots of walking this weekend (does not count as exercise with Marcel. Or ice cream). The water was just stunning, even for me who sees it every day. My insane husband is still surfing, wearing his thickest wetsuit, booties and a cap. He looks like a seal and I genuinely hope a shark will not one day think so too ://
Speaking of my insane Mister, he made a fresh batch of almond milk. It tastes amaaaaazing and all, but does he not realise he has ruined me for supermarket products forever?
I made a pasta pie. A PASTA PIE! Because those two things are not awesome enough alone. This was a bit annoying to assemble at first, but I got the hang of it and can't wait to make it again. Recipe here. And obviously looking a wee bit prettier. Bet theirs didn't taste as good as mine though. Boss.
Also from the MPM kitchen were these Sesame and Poppyseed crackers. Kind of. I was missing a few things and chucked something similar together, had to roll them between baking paper but OH MY GOD they turned out good. I do not recommend making them, as these were gone in one night. Oops.
Marcel and I practiced our car selfies. We aren't very good. I'm not even posing. Marcel isn't even in the picture. Another oops.
I saw my dream car hanging out at the end of my street. Mr C and I had one of these booked as a wedding car, til we hot footed it to Vegas, and not having it was probably my only wedding regret! Couldn't you just see Marcel in the front seat with me putting along in one of these?

Happy freaking EOFYS! I have crawled out of my end of June hole and seen the light! Mr C was more  amazing than usual, walking Marcel every morning and night (even in Sydney's torrential downpours) which meant I literally did not see sunlight for days on end.
In my over it state last week, I was actually grateful for the GFC, because I really don't think I could have handled those hedonistic days before it, where financial firms went all out for their celebrations. My team had a quietish lunch on Friday, I finished up at about 9pm (after a 12pm start) because all I could think of was my bed and my dog.

Anyway, whinge over, today I am working from home on a 'getting shit done' day. Never been so excited to hang washing out after 10+ days of consecutive rain. Here's what I've been up to.

Judge away people but there is nothing better than coming home from a hard day slaving over spreadsheets and these legends taking me away to another place. Kidding about the legends part. Most of them are utter knobs and I miss the days of Amy Childs. Never mind, give me boobs and lashes and tans and mini puppies as an escape any way.

The Great Gatsby
Finally got around to seeing this and I adored it. Sure it's cheesy (Leo cheersing anyone?), sure Carey and Leo the same in every movie for the last few years (plus Titanic of course), sure it's long, but gosh it's pretty. Am obsessed with the wedding veil she wore, which was only on screen for about a second and I can't find a pic of it despite much googling. The Tiffany jewels are to die for and it's very well done. No wonder it cost a thousand zillion dollars to make.

I've become a yogi and am moving to India. Kidding. I have been going back to yoga for a few weeks now and am loving it sick. I first went back after a rough week hunched over a keyboard, and after a dancing class proved to me once again I'm not 16. Cries.
Sadly I didn't read the timetable properly and it was Power Yoga. Ouch. Dripping in sweat and cowering in a ball afterwards, it didn't take long for me to want to go back. I had the mega shits for a while when I couldn't go straight back to the moves I was doing a few years ago when I was going regularly, but I'm slowly getting my flexiness back. See the move below (pigeon??), which I just got, albeit with my hands down.

Beauty: June empties and another Priceline bag

After accidentally deleting the pho phos for my May empties, sadly there wasn't a lot finished in June. Am getting there though, and this process of recording empties is very much helping me remember what I love. And don't love.
Dove Silky Nourishment body cream
Absolutely adore this stuff. The smell of Dove products reminds me of one of my first holidays to the Gold Coast as a proper adult, at about 19. I was so cool. A few, ahem, years on, the smell still takes me back to the days of Subzeros and Reef oil. Don't love the tub it's in but at least it means you can get everything out.
Nourishing and not greasy, will def repurchase.

Yes to Blueberries Daily Repairing Moisturizer
Love this, the scent is great and it feels lovely on the skin. Seemed to go through it really quickly though. I really like everything I've tried from this brand so far.
Maybelline the Falsies
I've written before about how this may be my HG mascara. There are so many versions of this I get confused, and I didn't love this one as much as the last one I tried? Weird. This one has black writing, which is all I can tell is the difference.

Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing and Makeup Remover
The pump bottle on this broke before I used it once which wasn't a great start, I had the bloody thing open in my shower for ages. But the product itself is great. Very cleansing without drying and did a pretty good job at removing makeup.

Cedel Dry Shampoo for dark hair
100% my favourite dry shampoo of all I've tried. And I think I've tried them all. Excellent volume, removes all grease, and the dark colour is fab. You can probably see it dripping down the can! Have already repurchased.

Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub
Again, love everything from this brand I've tried so far. Australian made and owned and very natural. Feels great on the skin and a lovely scent. Will repurchase.

BUT, repurchasing of anything skin care related will probably be a loooooong time off. See below. Priceline suckered me again. BUT I will use everything in this bag (apart from the Nivea pearl lipgloss and the fuggers baf itself) and I thought long and hard about whether I actually should buy it. My linen cupboard is a disgrace and in desperate need of sorting as a result.

Below is what I bought to qualify, complete with nosy French Bulldog. Hence the dodgy pictures.
As a beauty bonus, behold below my shellaced nails. I decided to retry, after having them done a few times when shellac was first released and them last about .00005 seconds. This mani lasted 10 days. I don't know about the 3+ week claims, peoples must be having non-growing nails or something, there is no way I'd get past 2. I got them redone yesterday in a soft pink, now I have the massive stress of timing an optimum nail-doing schedule to fit with the hectic (ha!) social life I have.
